Yesterday afternoon we went to all the middle school classrooms to experience celebration activities for our new inquiry - Why do we have celebrations?
We made party hats, played party games, danced and sang!

The Intrepid Journey!

Hi Everyone

We hope you all had a good school holiday break! We are now in Spain having just spent the last two weeks in the South of France - Perpignan, we have had great weather and spent a few days at the beach swimming which was good fun.

We have seen so many cool things, lots of old castles and a Roman Amphitheatre that was 2000 years old! We also saw a bridge that was higher than the Eiffel Tower. We have included a few pictures. We also went to a local Rugby game in France but we are now watching lots of soccer - Barcelona!

We had our birthday in Barcelona today which was pretty cool. We are missing our friends - C, S & O, plus our teachers! and will see you all in a week or so.

I am really happy that Miss Hope McCarra will be joining the Room 19 teaching team next week.  
She will be teaching Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.  
She lives in Howick and is an experienced and wonderful teacher.  
We are so lucky that she wanted to join us!
