Room 19

In Room 19 we have been working hard. We have had a change around at the tables and now have 4 table groups named after New Zealand fish- Marlin, Kingfish, Stingray and Snapper.

But every now and then we are allowed to go a little crazy...

Hi Room 17, my name is Henrietta the Hen and I am the library mascot..... can you guess what I love?

That's right.... I love Bok, Bok, Boks, Books!!

I can sit and read for hours and I will pop up on your blogsite from time to time to tell you about new books and special events happening at our fantastic school library. So keep a look out for me on this site and come visit me often......

Star Of The Week

Each week in Room 19 the children nominate a Star Person for the following week. This person is someone who has been trying their best, helping others and displaying the Values of Botany Downs Primary. The Star person gets to make a display about themselves and is also interviewed by Room 19 during the week. They are in charge of important jobs for the week and at the end of the week get to take Deefer Dog (our class mascot) home.

A Great Start To 2012!

We have only had 2 short weeks at school but everyone in Room 19 has settled into routines and expectations with ease! We have already been so busy and there are lots of great displays of our work covering our walls. We have talked about Chienese New Year and since it is the 'Year of the Dragon' we have made our own dragons. We have discussed the Treaty of Waitangi and made our own display of rules to keep everyone in Room 19 happy and safe. Bright artwork of our initials are also on display in our room. Come in and have a look!
